OLOWIANA, Poland-A research company said it developed a design for a new mobile phone that doubles as a gaming device, news that follows on similar products announced by Nokia Corp. and TTPCom.
ATELAB Research Group unveiled the first details about its Chameleon, which the company said is a mobile phone that operates in two positions: vertical as a mobile phone and horizontal as a game console. The device features a traditional numerical keypad with control buttons and an extra pad over the display used as a game controller in a horizontal mode.
The group said it has launched a search for a company interested in cooperation and commercial release of a Chameleon-style phone.
