MOSCOW-Chinese vendor Huawei Technologies said it won a frame contract valued at nearly $60 million with Russian mobile operator MegaFon. Huawei said it will help build a dual-band network to offer mobile services for a population of 30 million, reaching the Far East and Siberia areas of Russia.
The equipment includes base stations systems, mobile switching systems and a GPRS platform.
MegaFon is the third-largest operator in Russia.
