Motorola wins patent lawsuit against DBTEL

LIBERTYVILLE, Ill.-Motorola Inc. said it was won a copyright and design patent lawsuit filed against it by Taipei-based DBTEL. The lawsuit related to the Motorola C289 mobile phone.

The prosecutor’s office dismissed the allegations, according to Motorola.

“Motorola appreciates the decision from the prosecutor’s office,” said Scott Durchslag, corporate vice president of strategy and business development for Motorola PCS. “We are gratified that the prosecutor’s office has determined DBTEL’s allegations to be baseless and lacking merit.”
