CEDAR KNOLLS, N.J.-There are now significant opportunities for carriers to generate revenue from non-voice content and services, according to a new report from Probe Group L.L.C.
The research group found that companies offering billing, hosting and aggregating of mobile content are ready to meet the needs of carriers and content developers transitioning to 2.5- and third-generation networks. “Experience offering live mobile content has allowed vendors throughout the value chain to hone their offerings to fit carrier needs,” said David Chamberlain, Probe research director.
Probe notes that companies, including ADC, CSG Systems, NARUS, Openet, XACCT, Megisto, Starent, WaterCove, Handango, Qualcomm and Wmode, now have available field-tested technologies that will enable carriers to offer and bill for mobile content.
