Intrado to provide emergency messaging service to Harris County

LONGMONT, Colo.-Intrado Inc. will provide Texas’ Greater Harris County 911 Emergency Network with its IntelliVector Emergency Roadside Medical Messaging Service (ERMMS), an enhanced mobile safety solution for area police.

The solution will allow emergency personnel to access medical care records of police officers involved in motor vehicle accidents. Intrado will provide the technology and data management interface and act as a systems integrator to partners, including Cross Country Automotive Services and Roadside Telematics Corp.

The IntelliVector solution is an enhancement to the Automatic Collision Notification (ACN) system introduced in Greater Harris County by Intrado, Cross Country and Ford Motor Co. last year. “By augmenting the system with detailed medical information for each police officer, we are better able to assist public-safety personnel,” said John Melcher, deputy director of the Greater Harris County 911 Emergency Network.
