TOKYO-In its fiscal first-quarter results, Matsushita Electric Industrial Co Ltd. reported an operating profit of $166.9 million, a 27.4-percent increase from a year ago. Revenues, however, dropped to $14.7 billion, a decrease of 1.7 percent.
The company’s net profit was $224.3 million, 22.2 percent lower than the same time last year.
