SAN JOSE, Calif.-Wireless technology development company WiDeFi Corp. has closed its first round of venture capital financing, garnering it $1.5 million.
The company plans to use proceeds of the funding to expand its engineering staff, complete volume manufacturing of its wireless LAN Xtender reference design and begin developing a cost-reduced application specific integrated circuit (ASIC) chipset.
The financing was led by California-based CampVentures and Florida-based Inflexion Partners, and Village Ventures, the Band of Angels Fund and executives from other wireless and home networking companies also joined in.
