PHOENIX-Freedom Wireless Inc. received a favorable ruling in its patent infringement lawsuit against Boston Communications Group Inc. and several wireless carriers.
Freedom Wireless alleged that two of its U.S. patents relating to prepaid platforms were infringed by BCGI and certain of its wireless carrier customers, and earlier this year a judge agreed. BCGI and its carrier customers asked the court to reconsider its earlier decision, but that motion was denied, and the April decision was upheld.
The case is now expected to go to trial in Boston early next year.
