BERLIN, Germany-Philips Consumer Electronics and T-Com, Deutsche Telekom AG’s fixed-networks division, will cooperate to develop the market for broadband wireless home networks, connected devices and value-added broadband-connected entertainment and communications service in Germany.
The companies said the partnership will focus on commercializing a full range of broadband, multimedia, and entertainment products and services and will research trends in the connected home space.
Philips also unveiled its Connected Planet strategy to enable consumer access to digital content anywhere and anytime. Philips said Connected Planet will combine a series of telecom partnerships with a slate of new wireless and broadband products to broaden accessibility to entertainment, information and services.
