OVERLAND PARK, Kan.-Sprint Corp. reported the availability of its previously announced PCS Wi-Fi Access service in hundreds of locations across the country, including all Wayport Inc. airport and hotel hot spots and select Airpath Wireless locations. Sprint also announced its first owned and operated public venue at the Mohegan Sun casino in Uncasville, Conn., which uses InnerWireless Inc.’s InnerMobile system.
Sprint said the service will cost $10 per connection per location for 24 hours of unlimited access, adding that until the end of the year, users will receive a promotional $3 discount per connection. The company expects to add more than 250 roaming locations later this year through an agreement with Cometa Networks, but pushed back its plan to offer access in more than 2,100 locations from the end of this year to early next year.
