MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif.-The Wi-Fi Alliance said it has certified more than 900 products from 116 companies for each or a combination of the four protocols, including 802.11a, b, g and Wi-Fi Protected Access.
“The increased demand for certification is a reflection of market growth and the need to maintain interoperability in the face of increasing product and standards complexity,” said Frank Hanzlik, manager director of Wi-Fi Alliance.
