ARLINGTON, Va.-US Airways has expanded its onboard wireless phone use policy to allow customers to use their phones sooner after landing.
Passengers now can use wireless devices onboard US Airways while taxiing to the gate, after being advised by the flight crew. The airlines’ pre-departure cell-phone usage policy, under which customers can use wireless devices until the aircraft door is shut, will remain in place.
The new policy applies to all US Airways and US Airways Shuttle flights, but does not yet apply to US Airways Express flights.
The changes follow similar changes in cell-phone policies by other airlines throughout the country.
