BEIJING-Huawei Technologies said it has lunched a UMTS system into the European market at a lower cost than those the competition offers.
The product is known as UMTS R4.
“Our equipment is low cost not just because we are a Chinese company, but because we are pretty good at technical implementation,” explained Lars Bondelind, vice president of research and development with the vendor.
