LOUISVILLE, Ky.-U.S. Wireless Online Inc. said it has activated its non-line-of-sight high-speed wireless Internet access service in New Albany, Ind., and northwestern Jefferson County in the Louisville, Ky., area.
The launch is the first phase of the rollout of the company’s digital wireless broadband service across southern Indiana and the Louisville metropolitan area. The company also said it has contracted Alvarion to add OFDM technology to its Louisville network to ensure emergency personnel have direct access to wireless broadband service.
Residential service costs $30 or $50 per month depending on upload speeds, and business plans start at $80 per month.
