RALEIGH, N.C.-Sony Ericsson Corp. said it has launched a combined GPRS and Wi-Fi PC card known as GC79, which enables notebooks users to access both 802.11b and GPRS networks in hot spots and wide area networks.
The card operates on the 900, 1800 and 1900 MHz bands and allows users to send short message service messages.
