TEL AVIV-Partner Communications Co. Ltd. said it has signed a $93 million deal with Nortel Networks Ltd. to supply UMTS equipment for its networks.
The carrier expects the network to increase voice and data capacity in such services as “person-to-person telephony that can change the way people communicate and drive new sources of revenue for Partner.”
Initial deployments will begin at the end of this year, said Partner.
