PALO ALTO, Calif.-Danger Inc. said Cable & Wireless will offer its Hiptop mobile-phone device through its Cayman Islands mobile operation. Cable & Wireless is the first Caribbean operator to launch a GSM/GPRS network, and the carrier will use the Hiptop to differentiate its offerings in the region, Danger said.
The deal is the sixth such carrier partnership for Danger, which offers its Hiptop phone for high-speed data applications, such as Web browsing, e-mail, instant messaging and gaming. The device is also offered through operators in the United States, Canada and Germany.
