CAMBRIDGE, United Kingdom-Citing aggregate performance of 60 mobile operators around the world, U.K.-based industry consulting firm Analysys noted in a report that mobile operators can improve their profitability, growth rates and financial stability by finding the right blend of focus, scale and capital management.
In a sampling of its report, “Operator Strategies and Key Performance Indicator Benchmarks: Lessons from the Global Mobile Communications Market,” Analysys found in mature mobile markets a strong correlation between a focus on quality of service and customer retention and sustained high levels of profitability.
“To benefit fully from the recovery under way in the sector, operators need to learn lessons from the most effective players in order to understand which strategies create value and can differentiate you from the competition,” said the report’s author Kirill Pyshkin.
