Mobility Electronics buys InVision components business

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz.-Mobile computing company Mobility Electronics Inc. announced it purchased the hardware components of InVision Software’s handheld computing business for 70,000 shares of common stock.

The company also said it will gain two InVision executives through the move.

Mobility Electronics said it will gain InVision’s hardware and value-added software, a move that will help it cater to the ruggedized data-capture market with data synchronization and access to files, local area networks and the Internet. In the past, InVision has served as an original equipment manufacturer distributor for Mobility’s USB and Ethernet personal digital assistant cradles to Symbol Technologies and other customers.
