MURRAY HILL, N.J.-Lucent Technologies Inc. announced two new executive appointments Tuesday. The company has appointed Jan M.K. Jaferian as its new intellectual property business president and John DeBono as its new investor relations vice president.
Jaferian, who comes from Xerox Corp. where she was most recently a vice president and general manager for intellectual property operations, will report to Bill O’Shea, Bell Labs president and Lucent’s executive vice president of corporate strategy.
DeBono replaces MaryAnn Niebojeski, who will retire at the end of January. He returns to Lucent from spinoff Agere Systems Inc., where he served as investor relations vice president. He spent 20 years with Lucent and AT&T Corp.
