GERMANTOWN, Md.-Hughes Network Systems Inc. said it was awarded a contract with Polish cellular operator Era/PTC to deploy its wireless access system in major cities in Poland.
The company’s 25 GHz point-to-multipoint system will be used to provide wireless backhaul connections to PTC cellular base stations and Wi-Fi hot spots in Warsaw and other major cities in Poland.
The value of the contract was not disclosed.
