NEW YORK-Wireless technology and content company Enpocket scored its second major acquisition, announcing the purchase of Helsinki-based mobile technology company Mobicus for an undisclosed amount. The firm said the acquisition would expand its customer roster and its technology offerings.

Founded in 2000, Mobicus offers text messaging, multimedia messaging and Java applications. The company counts Radiolinja, Orange France subsidiary Mobile & Permission, Sonera Zed and others as customers. Enpocket said it uses elements of Mobicus’ technology in its Enpocket Engine.
Enpocket late last year acquired wireless marketing company SkyGo for an undisclosed amount. Enpocket offers wireless advertising products and other wireless applications and services.
In other acquisition news, Access Propeller Holdings Inc. of Helsinki acquired a majority ownership of Small Planet Ltd., which offers wireless chat services and other downloadable applications. Terms of the deal were not disclosed. The deal follows the approval of Small Planet’s restructuring plan by the District Court of Helsinki. Small Planet said the deal will help it expand its business into North America.
