RCA honors its own

RED BANK, N.J.-The Radio Club of America handed out accolades to several contributors to the wireless industry at its recent annual banquet and its 94th Anniversary Dinner Awards Presentation.

Arthur McDole received the Fred M. Link Award for “his substantial contributions to the advancement and development of land mobile radio and communications.” In addition, Morris Tischler received the Armstrong Medal for his role in designing cardiac pacemakers; Andrew Conte received the Special Services Award for his support for RCA, William Glenn got the Allen B. DuMont Citation for his contributions to “the science of television;” Leonard Kahn took home the Henri Busignies Memorial Award for his contributions to the advancement of electronics; Skitch Henderson was awarded the Jack Poppele Broadcast Award for his contributions to radio broadcast; and Maurice H. Zourary received the Special Recognition Award for his service to RCA.

In addition, 12 RCA members were elevated to fellows in recognition of their contributions to the industry. Those members were: Charles Adams, Rich Berliner, Pierre Catala, Donald Clark, Terry Daniels, Frederick Freer III, Robert Levy, Margaret Lyons, Lloyd Roach, Alan Shark, Robert Treanor and William Wilson.
