ZURICH, Switzerland-Mobile roaming technology provider Starhome made several announcements today, following news earlier this week it has garnered $20 million in equity financing.
Starhome released its Intelligent Preferred Network suite of solutions for carriers. The solutions include handset-independent network signaling control, handset-operated network control and integrated SIM and network signaling control.
“Preferred Network selection solutions must be flexible enough to allow dynamic network redirection at any time independently of the handset and with minimal interruption,” said Alon Barnea, vice president of business development at Starhome. “Starhome’s suite of Intelligent Preferred Network solutions offers maximum flexibility coupled with superior technical capability delivering roaming cost optimization and best service levels to operators and their customers.”
The company also launched Roaming Mate, an outbound traveler’s portal for mobile operators. The product allows operators to enhance the roaming experience for customers by providing travel information, dialing assistance and other applications in the customer’s native language.
In addition, Starhome said MACH, a global roaming and clearinghouse for mobile operators, will add Starhome’s roaming technology and solutions to its service portfolio.
