SAN BRUNO, Calif.-IPWireless Inc. said it has started commercial shipments of its wireless broadband solution designed for the 3.4 to 3.6 GHz spectrum bands following three months of trials. The company noted the non-line-of-sight solution can provide network speeds of up to 80 megabits per second on a fully loaded site and offers VoIP levels of quality of service.
IPWireless added the solution was based on its UMTS TDD Mobile Broadband platform, which IPWireless has been shipping commercially for the IMT-2000 1.9 GHZ and 2.0 GHz spectrum, as well as the 2.5 GHz MMDS band for nearly two years.
