Artemis, Xingtone form ring tone deal

LOS ANGELES-Artemis Records announced a deal with Xingtone to include software on its new Sugarcult CD album that will allow users to create mobile-phone ring tones from the Sugarcult songs.

Under the terms of the agreement, a free copy of the Xingtone’s ring tone application will be embedded on each CD of Sugarcult’s album, “Palm Trees and Power Lines,” which will be released April 13th, 2004.

“The benefits of this technology are obvious,” said Danny Goldberg, Artemis’ chairman and chief executive officer. “Every Sugarcult fan’s phone will be like a mini-radio station, introducing passerbys to the new album.”
