HANNOVER, Germany-Comverse announced a joint project with Siemens, which calls for Comverse to implement its Visual Voicemail handset client on Siemens’ new Symbian OS-based SX1 mobile handsets.
The handsets are being supplied to operators with complete VVM functionality preloaded, said Comverse.
The VVM product includes an intuitive visual interface that provides more efficient message retrieval and management and allows users to forward and respond to a voice message with a single button. The product also includes a new “Record and Send” function that allows subscribers to record and send new voice messages directly to individuals or groups without causing the phone to ring.
