LONDON-Wavecom SA and European carrier Orange announced a partnership to provide a joint machine-to-machine industry offering. The two companies plan to market and co-sell an end-to-end communication and development platform for wireless M2M applications.
The platform comprises Orange’s M2M Connect platform and Wavecom’s M2M module. The groups said the system will address the challenges of M2M growth, including significant investments, long development times and proprietary solutions.
“By significantly reducing the time and cost of application development, the joint offering enables end users to deploy M2M solutions that reduce operating costs and create new services and revenue streams, with return on investment in less than one year,” said Wavecom.
