CHICAGO-In a deal that may have wireless implications, Cisco Systems Inc. said it has entered an agreement with L.M. Ericsson to sell equipment and services to wireline phone companies.
The products will focus on services such as Internet voice transmission, according to the companies.
“When we looked at the market opportunity, we realized a stronger relationship between Cisco and Ericsson could help accelerate the development of profitable services-benefiting our customers, as well as both companies,” said Cisco Chief Executive John Chambers.
