SAN JOSE, Calif.-Voice application provider Orative announced it acquired the assets of Bonita Software, based in Raleigh, N.C. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Orative said it acquired several patent-pending technologies, tools and other intellectual property. Bonita Software offered its ToGo Mobile Solutions product, which Orative said it will use to extend enterprise applications to a variety of mobile phones.
“This acquisition aligns with our strategy to keep the mobile-phone experience simple as it becomes a platform for increasingly complex applications,” said Paul Fulton, Orative’s president and chief executive officer. “Bonita’s assets complement our current technologies and ensure our ability to deliver advanced voice solutions in a manner that minimizes total cost of ownership for Orative solutions.”
Orative said a commercial version of its mobile telephony product is scheduled for release later this year.
