Sprint introduces Wi-Fi unlimited access plan

OVERLAND PARK, Kan.-Sprint Corp. introduced a $50 monthly unlimited access plan for its Sprint PCS Wi-Fi Access service to complement its currently offered $7 promotional daily connection offer. The company said the wireless local area network service is available in more than 2,200 locations, including airports, hotels and conventions centers across the United States and Canada.

“We are simplifying life for the mobile professional by accommodating different connectivity needs,” said Wes Dittmer, general manager of Sprint’s WLAN Services. “The Wi-Fi ‘power user’ with high data connectivity demands will benefit most from the unlimited access plan, regardless of how many sessions are initiated at different locations, while the ‘occasional use’ customer retains the cost effectiveness of high-speed data connectivity on a per-connection basis.”
