PHILADELPHIA-T-Mobile USA Inc. and Comcast Corp. said they plan to launch an outdoor Wi-Fi wireless Internet service located at Philadelphia’s Headhouse Square Plaza providing Wi-Fi access to residents and visitors in most indoor and outdoor areas of the plaza covering Second Street between South and Pine streets.
As part of a limited-time offer, Comcast and T-Mobile USA will provide free access to the service for approximately six months after it’s launched. The service also builds on a previous marketing agreement announced earlier this year between the two companies that called for Comcast to offer its nearly 5 million high-speed Internet customers T-Mobile USA HotSpot Wi-Fi service.
