BEIJING-With flagging sales in Japan, NEC Corp. said it is setting up a new company in China to develop the third-generation mobile market in that country.
It is working with a number of vendors and operators in field trials.
The new company, which will be headed by Brian Lu, a former Motorola executive, will fold the telecom manufacturing, marketing, service and maintenance operations into one organization.
