WASHINGTON-Wireless broadband solution provider Alvarion Ltd. launched its BreezeMAX WiMax platform at this week’s WCA 2004 conference.
The initial release of the platform, BreezeMAX 3500, operates in the 3.5 GHz band. It has been tested by operators in Europe and Asia Pacific and is expected to be commercially deployed in the third quarter of this year.
“Our WiMax platform has been built from scratch; we did not take the easy route and adapt existing products to meet the expected WiMax standard,” said Rudy Leser, vice president of marketing for Alvarion. “Instead we invested time, resources and energy into developing an entirely new product based on what the market now, and in the future, will require.”
