LONGMONT, Colo.-Intrado Inc. unveiled its Intelligent Emergency Network (IEN), an enhanced architecture for advanced voice and data technologies, including streaming video and location mapping for public safety.
According to Intrado, IEN was designed to help current 911 customers, government agencies and the public-safety industry transition from the existing 911 system to an environment that can integrate new technologies and enhanced applications, including wireless.
“Intrado’s 25-year history in 911 service and systems, combined with our extensive customer and industry relationships enable us to deliver a credible and tangible roadmap for truly enhanced emergency communications,” said Stephen Meer, chief technology officer at Intrado.
