To the Editor,
I find the “Customer Contract Expiration Horizon” report by Stax Inc. a bit skewed (June 7 issue of RCR Wireless News, page 26).
It does not appear to take into account the requirements of some of the carriers’ customers to sign multi-year contracts. For example, T-Mobile does not offer multi-year contracts in comparison to Verizon, which does have this option. The numbers seem skewed in Verizon’s favor. It appears to me that T-Mobile’s 48 percent could be a stronger metric than Verizon’s 60.7 percent in the wake of WLNP (if not bringing them closer together). In other words, many of these people were “captive” long before WLNP.
