TOKYO-Japanese wireless carrier NTT DoCoMo Inc. said the base of i-mode users outside Japan exceeded 3 million at the end of June, just four months after the figure reached 2 million.
I-mode services are currently available through eight carriers outside Japan., although the Japanese carrier did not give a breakdown by carrier. DoCoMo has nearly 42 million i-mode customers.
