MENLO PARK, Calif.-AT&T Corp. and Pacific Gas and Electric Co. are testing wireless broadband for delivering high-speed Internet access to consumers in Menlo Park, Calif., according to a report in the San Francisco Chronicle.
According to the report, 100 residents in the city are receiving wireless Internet access at speeds of up to 3 megabits per second as part of the trial. Participants were given Cisco Systems Wi-Fi phones to make calls over the connection.
