FreeHeadset.org offers headsets to cell-phone users

SAN DIEGO-FreeHeadset.org has developed a program to provide wireless users with free cell-phone headsets.

The program was prompted by legislation in several states requiring drivers to use headsets while talking on their wireless phones and driving. The only charge for the program is $3.94 for shipping and handling.

“Using a headset is a very important safety issue that often goes gets overlooked,” said Matt MacAdams, the program’s founder. “Our goal is to encourage people to use headsets by making it simple, affordable and convenient to obtain one.”
