STOCKHOLM, Sweden-L.M. Ericsson said it will provide in-building solutions for the new National Grand Theater in China under a contract awarded by Beijing Communication Corp., a subsidiary of China Netcom Corp. The value of the deal was not disclosed.
Ericsson said the deployment is one of the world’s most complex in-building systems, incorporating six different technologies, including trunked radio, CDMA 800 MHz, GSM 900 and 1800 MHz, PHS and W-CDMA technologies. Project implementation will begin in mid-August, and it is expected to be completed in the first half of 2005.
