HERNDON, Va.-CDW Corp.’s government and education subsidiary CDW Government Inc. signed a data solutions provider agreement with AT&T Wireless Services Inc. to stock, sell and activate data devices designed for AWS’ GSM-based data network.
The deal includes Research In Motion Ltd.’s BlackBerry devices, which can be bundled with Common Access Cards readers, PalmOne’s Treo 600 and Tungsten W, Audiovox Corp.’s PPC4100 Pocket PC, Motorola Inc.’s MPx200 and wireless modem cards compatible with AWS’ GPRS and EDGE data networks. The agreement also allows CDW-G to offer unlimited, annual domestic billing for the BlackBerry, PalmOne and EDGE AirCard products.

“Our alliance with CDW-G will pool the proven capabilities of two industry leaders to provide complete wireless data solutions to government agencies,” said Valeria Kahn, vice president of business alliance channels at AWS. “This relationship will give government users many advantages, including secure wireless access to important information here in the U.S. and abroad.”
Terms of the agreement were not released.
