TOKYO-A new mobile software solution from Aplix Corp. and Motorola Inc. allows Java developers and content providers to debug an application as it runs on a handset.
The solution, based on Aplix’s JBlend platform, supports the KVM Debug Wireless Protocol (KDWP) and features a proxy that allows for communication between the phone and the Integrated Development Environment (IDE). Both features allow developers to get real-time information directly from the device.

Currently, Motorola’s C380, C650, E398, V80, V220, V300/V303, V400, V500/V525, V600 and T725 are shipping with the solution. Upcoming phones expected to also include the solution are the Motorola A630, C975, E1000, V180, V400p, V975 and RAZR V3.
