SCHAUMBURG, Ill.-Motorola Inc. this week announced Winncom Technologies Corp., a subsidiary of ARC Wireless Solutions Inc., has been named as a distributor to sell its Canopy wireless broadband products in Russia and other Eastern European countries.
Winncom will also establish a channel of authorized Canopy solutions providers there.
“We are seeing great sales gains in Eastern Europe, the Middle East and Africa because these regions don’t have a lot of existing high-speed data connectivity alternatives, and where they do, it’s often expensive and unreliable,” explained Dennis Stipati, director of sales for Motorola’s Canopy Wireless Broadband business in Europe, the Middle East, Asia and Africa.
