PORTLAND, Ore.-Metro One Telecommunications Inc. was awarded a patent for a method of personal services offerings included in the company’s TeleConcierge, Infone and enhanced directory assistance systems.
The patent covers concierge-type services in which an operator orders goods or services such as directions or tickets on behalf of a caller.
“The recent rapid growth of our patent portfolio not only reflects the innovative systems and services surrounding our operators, but years of development and intellectual property work in advance of issuance,” said Timothy Timmins, president and chief executive officer of Metro One. “We are dedicated to creating new and better processes and technology that allow us to continue to provide exciting services over the phone.”
The mobile services provider operates a network of call centers throughout the United States, handling 434 million requests for information last year.
