OXNARD, Calif.-Justchex L.L.C., an online check processing company, said it now provides wireless access to funds verification services through text messaging.
When the system receives a message from a registered mobile-phone number, it queries databases that include up to 200 million check writer accounts and returns verification within a few seconds, said the company. The reply says either “yes” for an open, funded account, or “no” with a reason code for a closed account, repeat offender or negative balance account.
The company plans to offer the service nationwide.
