LONDON-British mobile entertainment provider Digital Bridges will continue to partner with U.S. gaming company EA Sports to bring console video games to handsets.
The announcement continues a relationship that has produced mobile editions of “FIFA Football 2004” and “Tiger Woods PGA Tour 2004.” Both games are slated to be updated and re-released by the end of the year.
Gerhard Florin, managing director and senior vice president of Electronic Arts, announced the agreement Thursday at the European Games Network exhibition in London.
“Consumers around the world are increasingly moving to interactive entertainment,” said Florin, “and while we create and produce games for the mobile platform, the expertise of Digital Bridges will help us bring new opportunities for game players to join the trend with the familiar, user-friendly format of the mobile phone.”
