LONDON—From seven-card stud to eightball, mobile gamers have a variety of choices with the announcement of five new games this week.
Entertainment publisher Chasma Inc. will launch a card game in conjunction with the Poker Superstar Invitational Tournament, which airs on FSN Sunday nights through October. Chasma’s game will offer player tutorials and features intelligent player matching, buddy lists and single-user sign-on.
In-Fusio’s new racing game, “IF Racing Head2Head,” allows gamers to slip inside a Formula One car and race against 19 other drivers on 16 different international tracks. A “ghost car” mode records a player’s performance, enabling gamers to compete against each other during “playback” of the recorded game.
Finally, U.K.-based Digital Bridges released three new titles, including two based on Hollywood movies. “2Fast 2Furious” offers a three-dimensional racing game on the streets of Miami, and “Robo Cop” puts gamers into Detroit’s seamy underworld. A third game, “3D Pool,” features sound effects and “an exciting and authentic pool-shooting atmosphere.”
“Robo Cop” will be released next week; the other two games become available Oct. 4.
