LONDON—Lucasfilm Ltd. and European operator Orange will partner to bring Stars Wars to mobile phones.
Beginning this week, Orange customers can download images, film clips, ring tones and true tones from the saga. The offer comes the same week the Star Wars Trilogy DVD was released; the latest installment—”Episode III Revenge of the Sith”—hits theaters in May.
“Through Orange, customers can now visit the Star Wars universe wherever they are, whenever they want,” said Bernard Ghillebaert, an Orange executive vice president. “Leading into the launch of the last Star Wars film, this partnership allows Lucasfilm to continue the tradition of bringing Star Wars to movie lovers through new and innovative concepts.”
