DUBLIN, Ireland-Payments software company Valista and systems integrator Utiba announced their new product, Valista TopupPlus Streetseller.
The product allows small denominations of top-ups to be purchased for prepaid use from street merchants or in small shops, making it ideal for developing markets, said the company. The product uses a mobile handset as the point of sale and communication medium, eliminating POS set-up and distribution and stocking costs associated with other top-up methods.
The product already is in use in the Philippines with Globe Telecom and India with Airtel.
