CINCINNATI-Lottery.com has teamed with Games Inc. to launch a text messaging application that distributes nationwide state lottery results to mobile devices, the companies announced Wednesday.
The service, which is free to mobile users who agree to accept a tagline advertisement with each message, will offer information on 200 lotteries in 40 states and Canada. Users can sign up for the service through their carriers, or at www.lottery.com.
“Busy people want fast, accurate lottery results, which they can have today with text messaging,” said Roger Ach, chief executive officer of Games. “Games Inc. expects to soon offer our state lottery customers the technology and secure capability to also purchase state lottery tickets over their wireless device.”
